Located in the heart of Wayside, within the township of Morrison, the Wayside Volunteer Fire Department provides primary fire services to Wayside and assists in several surrounding townships & unincorporated areas including Brillion, Denmark, Greenleaf, Hollandtown, Kellnersville, Maribel, Menchalville, Morrison, & Reedsville.
WVFD proudly consists of approximately 30 active volunteer members and is headed operationally by a volunteer Chief, Ben Rosenbaum, who is serving his third year as Fire Chief and the Department's Assistant Chief is Brian Kocian. Administratively, the WVFD is run by a President: Captain John Stradel and supported by Vice President: Carl Klug, Secretary: Captain Dan Vercauteren, & Treasurer: Captain Scott Jetton.
The department's station is located on Dickenson Road, just south of County Road W and is dispatched on emergency calls by Brown County Public Safety Communications Center which is part of a combined communications facility including 911, County Police and Fire/Rescue Services. ==============================================================
